Why It Matters

Success here means something bigger than the books

The goal was never just to run an accounting firm. It was to build something strong enough to give back to the families who need it most — the ones walking the road I walked.
That’s why the standard is high on every engagement: ethical bookkeeping, exceptional service, and financials you can actually rely on.

I don't actually have to perform the day-to-day service of providing therapy to make a difference.

Owner's Biography

My name is Edmalia Constanza

Every part of how I run this business traces back to something I lived through first.

Raised on hard work and gratitude

I was born and raised in NYC to two immigrant parents who worked low-paying jobs and lived paycheck to paycheck. To keep us safe, they sacrificed and paid for me and my older siblings to attend private school, since we didn't live in the best neighborhood. We never went on family vacations when my parents had vacation time — they worked their vacation days to bring home extra income.

Growing up I saw my parents work hard and struggle. That shaped my work ethic and taught me gratitude at a very young age. As soon as I turned 14 and was able to work, I worked every summer to help my parents out. In college I worked part time and attended school full time. At times it was very challenging, but those experiences shaped me into the resilient mom and entrepreneur I am today.

The diagnosis that gave my work its purpose

My son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified, now referred to as autism) at the age of 2 in the fall of 2013. As a parent, that diagnosis — and everything that followed to improve his neurological health — was the hardest struggle I have ever endured.

Through the intensive intervention my son received for years, he is doing amazing. I know the therapists in his life played a huge role, as did me learning everything I could about autism and ADHD so I'd have the tools to help him lead a typical life.

Incorporating with a mission

When I incorporated my business in 2019, the purpose was to make a change in the lives of people with disabilities. That same year, I decided to become a licensed behavior therapist while working full time with clients and providing bookkeeping services and operational support.

A change in direction — not in purpose

In 2020, while working as a therapist, I was injured while working with a patient. I couldn't continue to do that work. But I realized that when EC Service Provider, LLC reaches a level of success that is abundant and sustainable, I can donate to facilities and causes that support individuals and families with disabilities. I don't actually have to perform the day-to-day service of providing therapy to make a difference.

What drives me today

My passion is taking good care of others: providing exceptional customer service, delivering ethical bookkeeping, staying open to change, taking on ad hoc projects, and assisting with applications for grants and government funding.
